Civil ceremony at the estate

Getting legally married outdoors is simpler than it seems. We explain what you need (documents, deadlines and steps) and handle the paperwork with you.

Legal, outdoors, your way

You can marry with full legal validity under the trees in the garden. You just need to open the process at the Civil Registry Office (Conservatória do Registo Civil) and we take care of the rest.

Step by step

The road to a legal “yes”

01

Choose the date and time

Ideally late in the afternoon, so the ceremony coincides with the golden hour.

02

Open the process

At the Civil Registry Office, ideally 3 to 6 months before the day.

03

Gather the documents

The full list is below; tick them off as you collect them.

04

Confirm your witnesses

Choose your witnesses and collect their identification details.

05

Choose the exact spot

We choose the spot on the estate with you and take care of the whole set-up.

06

Celebrate

The registrar or celebrant leads the ceremony, outdoors, with full legal validity.

What to gather for the process

Exact requirements may vary depending on the Registry Office and the couple’s nationality. Always confirm with the Civil Registry Office in your area, and count on us to guide you through each step.

3–6 months

before the day is the ideal time to open the process, with room for the unexpected.

2 witnesses

are enough for the civil ceremony: adults with valid identification.

Outdoors

the ceremony can take place in the gardens, with the same validity as indoors.

“The paperwork seems daunting at first, but it is the part we handle with you, step by step, so it does not cost you any sleep.”
